The only way to know whether an idea has potential is to set up experiments to test the hypothesis and gather data.
The fundamental activity of your startup is to turn ideas into products, measure how customers respond, and know whether to pivot or persevere.
Evidence Based Entrepreneurship

The question is not "Can this product be built?" Instead, the question is "Should this product be built?"

Frequently Asked Questions
Bootcamp is one of the Middle East’s top startup program, and offers an outstanding opportunity to work with an accomplished network of mentors and investors while being supported by a team of dedicated entrepreneurs and world class experts. We’re proud to say we’re different than other startup programs. Ask around – you won’t find any other program trying to change how startups are made and tearing up the entrepreneurship rulebook to do things better.
Do I need to quit my job to take part of the Bootcamp program?
Why should we join Bootcamp?
The Bootcamp program is very intensive, so we will always consider teams over single founders. That doesn’t mean we won’t consider single founders, but they must be outstanding developers and have strong product development skills.
The answer to that question is "It depends". We don't believe in a one investment fits all model, so we changed our investment process to: "How much do you need and why?" By the end of the Bootcamp program you will have a complete understanding of your funding needs, and we will guide you all the way as you pitch your idea in front of investors.

What do you mean by: Bootcamp is powered by AltCity?
How much funding will my startup receive?
Do I need to send in a business plan?
We’re focused on scalable technology businesses, and while most successful applicants will be solving problems and exploiting opportunities on the web and mobile, we’ll also consider startups with a hardware element.
Will you accept single founder teams?
What type of startups do you accept?
The Bootcamp program is the brainchild of AltCity. AltCity facilitates, encourages and supports high impact entrepreneurship in Lebanon and the greater MENA region, supporting aspiring entrepreneurs from idea to launch in the web/mobile, gaming, new media sectors, with an additional focus area around for-profit social impact ventures.
The point of Bootcamp is to help you shape your business and find market fit, so a business plan isn’t much use before we do that. Instead, complete the short application form and make sure you fill in all the questions.
No! Too many entrepreneurs start companies without doing enough research, or asking enough hard questions, to make sure their product or service is “something that people actually want or need". Our goal is to get you to that point before you take the leap. Build your company on the side until you know for sure it can survive in the marketplace.
